Synopsis[]
After a 203 day coma caused by a car accident, Minato wakes up in a hospital bed, forgetting his days in junior high, his mind is still in year six. His old friends try to come visit and re-spark any memories he had of them which ended up in a failure. "Shogaku's Elite Four" has fallen to the three who has the memories of those days.

When he finally could return home he realized nothing is the same, everyone else lived the past three years that he had no memory of which left him behind. His family store still looked the same but everyone in it grew up, his pet turtle became the mascot and his younger sister became a young woman.

Leading to Minato trying to brighten his families spirits by returning. But after looking over the rules, the photographic memories, and his body he begun to have doubts about his choice. Eventually telling his parents he wouldn't play and sorry for getting their hopes up. Until, Chinu came into his life for in his memory the first time, leading to him finally accepting that water polo will be entering his life again. After a slight push from Eitaro and Jo.
But it was not an easy comeback, his muscles have became lean and since he had no memory of the game he made very simple errors like putting his cap on backwards and asked questions that his precoma self knew the answer to. He eventually because of the strain on his body that no longer is in shape he got a muscle cramp.

The team needed one more member to become offical, which lead to Shugo being introduced as the member. He agreed if they won a race against him, which practiced for, which not only made him almost win the race it made his family happy that it was something his brain retained on autopilot to practice on his bed the way he is doing even though the lack of memories made him clueless to the similarities.

But in the end he lost the race which made him visibly upset. But due to a turn of events Shugo joined the team anyways. Minato struggles with the idea of his self work and as he was once a prodigy in the life he cannot remember he feels like he's failing everyone and falling short of everything by not being able to play at the same level he used to, or even remember any part of his past.
After the talk with Eitaro, he begins to doubt himself even more. Wondering what previously made him so great. He turned his former coach and asked him what his strengths were. Coach Bizen told him that he was always changing with the game and worked hard in his off time which helped him improve. After that talk he had a different outlook on himself and the game.
His mindset changes after the talk with Bizen, and he begins to film practice and study it like his old self once did. He gets closer to the other boys on the team and when they have a team bonding exercise he confesses that he's afraid of his memories. That it is unlikely but they may cause his current ones to fade.
Those same disks of his past that pushed him harder brought him down when he saw the last disk in which he acted harshly to his own team.
