Minato Kiyoumizu (清水 みなと Kiyoumizu Minato?) is a former water polo player who quit the sport after an injury. He is forced by Eitaro Oka and Jo Jojima to join Yamninami High School's water polo club.
Appearance[]
Minato originally had an athletic build from his previous years of water polo. However, due to his time spent in the hospital, his muscles became less defined and body became more lean. Alongside this, Minato has a fair complexion with no beauty marks. He has navy blue hair that goes in all directions and soft brown eyes. Often sprouting a happy expression, his face sterns when he's in a game.
He enjoys wearing darker colored swim suits when he plays, and during his middle school days he wore the matching uniform but since Yamanami is a new school he wears his own suit.
Personality[]
People may seem that Minato was a good person but however that was all in the past of his childhood cause he changed for the worse but when he lost his memories.
At the beginning of the series, he was known to be a easy-going, cheerful, sweet, gentle, happy, carefree, and friendly guy. But halfway through, when he got all his memories back, he reverted back to his old personality of being an uptight, aggressive, short-tempered, and self-centered jerk but then he does show some bit of care in for his team though.
Etymology[]
- The name Minato is written in hiragana (みなと), which has no special meaning. However, when written in kanji (港), it could possibly mean "harbor".
- Minato's surname Kiyomizu means "clear water/pure water, spring water" (清水).
